"Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die."

Words from the ever so brilliant David Crowder Band. How often we contemplate what heaven would be like; how we long to be there. But how seldom do we think about what it takes to get there. We, as Christians, have a calling - to be holy. But to strive for that holiness...well that's a bit labor intensive. As it should be. Look at what Christ did. He sacrificed himself for me. And you. Now it's our turn to give back! We must "die to self." What does that mean? It means laying down our lives for Him. Put Christ first. Follow him. Live for him.

24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”
