Teaching Respect
We've had several conversations recently about being polite and respectful in our house. Over the last few mornings, Zach has been practicing respectfulness.
Today at breakfast, Zach asked for eggs and toast. I cooked his breakfast and asked if he needed anything else. He politely responded with a "No thank you." As he finished eating, I asked him to put his plate, fork, and cup in the sink. He politely said, "Yes....sir." I replied with, "I am not a 'sir', Zach. Mommy is a woman. What do you say?" He thought for a second and said, "Yes, woman." Gee, I love that boy! :)
