Total Chaos

From October to now, it has been total chaos. Our house was in shambles. Stacked floor to ceiling with boxes of stuff. Our stuff. Lots of stuff. We packed everything that could fit into boxes and moved. We downsized some. I'm not sure if you know how hard it is to try to pack 3000 square feet of stuff into about 2700 square feet. Go ahead. Try it. I did and it doesn't work. So we need to have a yard sale. Every weekend for the foreseeable future. Ha! Not really but it's all got to go. And soon.

You might wonder why we didn't have a moving sale before we moved. Well, Matthew has been traveling for work. He made a trip across the globe to Taiwan two weeks before our closing date. And the week before that he was in Boston. Then, the week that we moved, he had a trip to Philly. Yep, that's right. The same week. Thankfully, he took some vacation days over the next few weeks.

We are so thankful for our new home. And we're so thankful for those that helped us move. My parents, Matthew's dad and sister, and my uncle and cousin - they were all amazing! My uncle came to the rescue when our truck rental fell through because the company didn't have the truck we reserved on the day we needed. So we made about 6 trips from one house to another with my uncle's trailer. Now I'm just slowly unpacking all of those boxes.

We were brave in this move. We purchased and closed on our new home before we put our other home on the market. That's a little scary. But thankfully we received a contingent offer within days of listing. Please help us to pray that all goes smoothly with the sell of our other home.
