Homeschool Math is a Winner!

This is our first homeschool year! After doing a lot of research, we narrowed our math curriculum to two choices - Math U See and CTCMath. We let our three kids view the demos for both online and they liked both. While MUS is manipulatives-based and great for those hands-on learners, we liked the simplicity of the self-paced, mastery-based CTCMath. So we went with CTCMath. The kids love it! They were so excited about it, that they started the day we subscribed (before I was ready, for sure). My 6th grader is moving at a very steady pace and will probably advance to Pre-algebra before the end of this school year. My other two (5th and 8th grades) have paced themselves to do one or two lessons a day. We just completed our fourth week of math and they still like it so as far as I'm concerned, it's a win!
